Last night’s FlourishByDesign Mid-Month Mixer was a beautiful reminder of the power of laughter.

Deep gratitude to the incredible women who showed up with openness, curiosity, and generosity of spirit. Gathering over my non-alcoholic virtual cocktail game, we stirred up a little magic playful moments, rich conversation, and gentle heart-openings along the way.

What stood out most was the quality of connection. Bonds were formed, conversations deepened, and a sense of collective possibility emerged. These moments matter. They are where confidence grows, collaboration begins, and purpose takes shape.

What aspect of you are you hiding to make other people feel comfortable?

It’s interesting how the concept of owning your brilliance can be seen an a negative within women’s minds.

This has been a topic we discussed at depth in one of my recent workshops with the Distilled.ie women’s group.

How women feel anxious and uncomfortable about sharing their strengths and prepare to downplay themselves. It a cultural norm that we challenge.

By definition brilliance means: intense brightness of light.
It about bringing the bright spark you hide within yourself out to the World to make it a brightest place.

Surely this is a good thing?

Don’t get me wrong I’m not talking about arrogance and falsehoods but it’s about simply owning you and seeing the value you bring to the World.

It’s about recognising your unique contribution you make to the people around you by just being you.

Shining brightly from the inside out is a reflection of your self value and self worth. It signals to others self leadership and an inner confidence.

It is your most precious asset it model self acceptance and in turn puts others around you at ease.

Owning you naturally opens you up to new possibilities and creates an inner Yes to life itself.

It’s unlocks your potential to go beyond who you think you are which makes life exciting and fulfilling.

It shifts your self perception as you see the world with wonder.

So let’s get comfortable where we are uncomfortable in 2026.

In a time when our World is in darkness Own your Brilliance and shine bright like the diamond to create hope in 2026.

Theme: Thriving in the Digital Age: AI, Education & Wellbeing for a Resilient Ireland

Yesterday, I had the joy of presenting alongside two incredible human-centered academics Dr. Andrew Wall and Arturo Vázquez whose talks intertwined so seamlessly it felt as though we 3 had been designed to flow together.

The discussion that followed, led by educational leaders deeply passionate about the future of higher education, was one of those moments where you could feel change in the air.

Here’s to a future of education with empathy at its heart in the face of AI where research, connection, and humanity come together to create not ripples, but waves of change. 🌊

A heartfelt thank you to Griffith College Dublin Robert McKenna, Patricia O’Sullivan, and Mary Doyle for their generous support and encouragement throughout this journey.

It was extra special to have the President of Griffith College Professor Diarmuid Hegarty be there to hear my talk. A Father figure who was watching on who established Griffith the year I was born, he so reminded me of my Dad cheerleading from the sidelines as I scored a goal, a simple witnessing presence means everything to me.

It feels so good to be sharing the findings in public after the solitude it took to produce the 15,000 word paper like a monk in a round tower.🤣

Super Cool Ladies!
While exploring potential venues for my Women’s Leadership Workshops, I came across the one-of-a-kind Innovation Room the very place where the Irish Women’s Rugby Team hold their team-building sessions. 🏉 The creative energy and sense of purpose in the space really resonated with me. It’s certainly sparked my interest! ✨

✨ Super fun morning leading the incredible women’s group at Distilled.ie

This month’s session was called “Own Your Power – Embodying Your True Confidence,” a workshop designed to help women anchor into their worth and express themselves confidently and authentically in both their professional and personal lives.

Through discussion, reflection, and practical exercises, we explored what it really means to show up in your true confidence — not a false sense of bravado, but a grounded confidence rooted in self-knowledge, self-worth, and self-belief.

It’s always inspiring to see women reconnect with their inner confidence — not as something to “put on,” but as something already within them, waiting to be activated. 💎

Huge thanks to the Distilled Women group for your openness, laughter, and energy. On such a dull day outside, you all shone bright like diamonds! 💫

⚡ Wisdom Wednesday ⚡
Do you have a voice that pops up the moment you’re about to step into something exciting… and terrifying?

Mine has a name: La Résistance.

She’s clever.
She’s persuasive.
And she shows up without fail whenever I’m facing a challenge, a new opportunity, or one of those “bright ideas” that could change everything.

La Résistance tells me:
❌ “Play it safe.”
❌ “Wait until you’re more ready.”
❌ “Don’t risk looking foolish.”

Sound familiar?

Here’s the thing:
La Résistance isn’t actually here to ruin us, she’s our brain’s way of trying to keep us in familiar territory. Safe… but small.

If you’ve ever wrestled with Imposter Syndrome, you know this feeling well.

That inner saboteur wants you to believe you’re competing with the world, but in truth…

⚡ You’re only ever competing against yourself.

Every time you take a power step forward despite that voice, you grow.
Every time you speak up, submit the idea, or take the leap of faith you stretch beyond the limits you’ve set for yourself.

So here’s my Wisdom Wednesday challenge:

Today, do one small thing La Résistance doesn’t want you to do.

Make a Power Move:
⚡Send the proposal.
⚡Apply for the role.
⚡Speak your truth in the meeting.

You don’t have to silence that voice you just flip the script.

Your brilliance is worth the risk!

The intensity of the heat in Dubai slowed me right down.

Everything happens for a reason... I found the heat in Dubai so incredibe I could only sit outside for very short periods of time. Being from Ireland and being so used to freshness it was the complete opposite of what I was used to. I come from a greenhouse of a country where everything is so lush where the weather changes its mood like a woman every few hours it’s always full of surprises. To be in a land that is a desert with such an intensely powerful sun beaming down on you with not a cloud in the sky made me feel I was on a completely different planet. Interesting it was exactly what I needed… it made me surrender and to not such slow down but be completely still. I had the most incredible 3 days in the most luxurious hotel waited on hand and foot. It was just what the doctor ordered, it taught me not to just recharge but to receive. I was still suffering for sunburn I got on our last day in Bali and I found it hard to walk as my feet had been burnt. Everything was saying be still and soak in the luxury of every you love so much the peace and quiet and calmness of the hotel the refined grace and politeness of hotel staff, the sound of the water trickling from the interior waterfalls, the air filled with flowers from the massive bouquets of fresh flower displays throughout the hotel. The interior design inspired by nature swirls and blossoms burst popping their heads out around every corner. Arabian coffee and blossom tea with the sweetest of sweets to accompany. It left me in awe of much I feel in love with the intensity of this country as it was the complete opposite to what I am used too and feel comfortable in. I was completely out of my comfort zone in a comfort zone. My passion and determination, devotion and dedication to teaching and learning to shaping our future I can sometimes forget how important it is to be spoiled and how much I truly needed it…

Reimagine Yourself! I bought this dress it was a size 8 way too small for me now but I loved the pattern and colour so I made it work as an open dress over my white jeans! Remember to keep reimagining yourself to suit who you are today. :)

Don’t hust become a role, become a role model. A Supermodel for the next generation.
